Penne with Tequila Cream
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp. Butter (#180140)
- 2 Tbsp. All-Purpose Flour (#100100)
- 1-¼ cup Chicken Broth
- ¼ cup Lime Juice, fresh squeezed (#1004158)
- 3 Tbsp. Garlic Pepper Sauce
- 1 cup Heavy Cream (#180115)
- ¼ cup Tequila
- 1-¼ pts. Penne Pasta, cooked, warmed (#310070)
- 4 oz. Prosciutto, julienned (#251320)
- 2 oz. Parmesan Cheese, shaved (#1002538)
- 4 tsp. Black Pepper, freshly ground (#1001639)
Directions
- Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and cook, stirring until mixture is bubbly.
- Continue stirring and whisk in chicken broth, lime juice and garlic pepper sauce. Bring to a boil and cook 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
- Stir in cream and tequila.
- Toss with cooked penne to coat and divide into 4 portions. Garnish each with 1 oz. prosciutto and 1/2 oz. parmesan. Sprinkle with 1 tsp. pepper and serve.
