Penne Carbonara
Ingredients
- 2 Tbsp Butter (#180140)
- 1 small Red Onion, chopped (#340065)
- 1 small Yellow Onion, chopped (#340090)
- 4 oz Portobello Mushrooms, chopped (#340219)
- 4 cloves Garlic, rinsed (#340051)
- 7 oz Bacon, cooked & crumbled into large pieces (#1002355)
- 12 oz Chicken Breast, grilled & sliced (#1002241)
- 2 cups Heavy Cream (#180115)
- ¼ cup Romano Cheese (#190010)
- ¼ cup Asiago Cheese (#171900)
- Salt & Pepper, to taste (#110600 & 450430)
- 16 oz Penne (#310760)
Directions
- Sauté onions, mushrooms, & garlic in butter until ingredients are soft and yellow onions are translucent. Add bacon & chicken, then add heavy cream. Bring mixture to a boil, then begin cooking penne separately.
- Add cheese, salt & pepper. Stir and let simmer 2-3 minutes. Drain penne, then add it to the Carbonara mixture and coat with sauce. Serve.
