Margherita Pizza
Ingredients
- ½ cup Olive Oil (#280290)
- 2½ cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese (#170550)
- 1½ cans Italian Plum Tomatoes, drained and chopped (#401200)
- 1 Tbsp. fresh Oregano, minced
- ½ cup Parmesan Cheese (#190150)
- ½ cup Basil, shredded
Directions
- Preheat oven to 500 degrees F.
- Brush dough with olive oil, making sure to cover all.
- Spread mozzarella cheese evenly on pizza, leaving a border about ½” thick. Next add tomatoes, oregano, salt and about half of the parmesan cheese. Finish by topping the pie with olive oil.
- Place pizza in oven and bake for 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
- Remove from oven and brush crust with olive oil once more. Add the remaining parmesan cheese and basil before serving.
